This might be good news if humanity were reasonable and sane, but realistically, what difference could even limitless energy supply make now, when we still fundamentally don’t have ethical, social, economic and political frameworks that could even theoretically be capable of making good use of it? Limitless energy at this point could only lead to human conflict and political oppression. Capitalism (which does not mean free markets but rather monopoly based financing–which even Adam Smith saw as a threat to true free markets before the name capitalism existed for it) only works when real world problems are never solved but rather farmed in perpetuity for accounting profits benefiting only a minority of wealthy investors.
